Minnesota walleye fishing

We have 12" of ice on the lake but the snow is about the same in spots. Ice fishing has been pretty good. The perch are not really aggressive but will bite. Walleye are in 18' of water right now and the perch seem to go shallow around lunch time and then hit hard in 18' right at sunset.

Great Ice fishing

Well the lake has a save 8.5'' of ice now with alot of the places having 10''. I have my ice houses out now and have been catching alot of perch. The snow keeps getting deper as of today we gt another 5-6'' soe it is at the 12'' mark for totals goes. Now the ice will not freeze thicker as qiuick since there is a blanket if snow cover. I drive my 4-wheeler out right now since i have a 1-ton for a pickup and i like to have at least 20'' for that heavy thing.

Major snow storm.

We are getting a major snow storm here right know. I would guess we will have at least 12'' of snow by morning. I did get my small ice house out this afternoon and took the boys out for a couple hours. We caught 20 or so "jumbo" perch which tasted very good for supper. There is 8.5" of ice on the lake right now so I would guess people will be driving all over if the snow does not get to deep.
