Minnesota Fishing

Walleye is the most sought after fish in Minnesota. It is at time easy to catch if you are in the right place at the right time. Everybody dreams about bring in the 30" fish that they have seen in magazines. Here on Blackduck Lake the walleye count in excellent, they stock the lake about every 3 years with 1.3 million fry. It also is a great natural reproducing lake. Another reason the walleye count for this lake is so high is it is connected to Lower Red Lake via the Blackduck River. In the spring you can watch the walleye jump up over the damn coming from Red lake and then they get trapped in our lake.
